This upcoming weekend, October 11th-13th, eighty two players will assemble at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The October USA Basketball Junior National Team minicamp is an opportunity for players to experience elite training, competition, and off the court education.
Of the eighty-eight, 9 players call the Lonestar state home. You can find the players with Texas ties and analysis below.
2026 6’8 F Davion Adkins, Faith Family Academy
Adkins is already an elite rim protector and big time rebounder. The top prospect in the state in the class continues to show his development as a mid-range threat.
2027 6’2 Beckham Black, Duncanville High School
The rising sophomore runs the show for his Duncanville high school team. He finds the easy opportunities for his teammates and makes shooters look even better. Every school in the country would love to have a Beckham Black controlling the game.
2027 6’6 Malachi Booker, St. John’s School
I got a good look at Booker this past weekend at the Pangos All South camp. He has a well rounded game, shoot’s the three ball very well, is a purposeful driver and finisher with great size.
2025 6’6 Hudson Greer, Montverde Academy
Greer has committed to the Creighton Blue Jays and should immediately provide them with floor spacing. He moves well without the ball and excels as a catch and shoot player, but has the athleticism to slash and finish above the rim.
2028 6’8 Terrell Jackson, Dallas Carter High School
Jackson is at the beginning of his elite basketball journey but already possesses the raw talent that screams high major prospect. Long and athletic, Jackson is an excellent rebounder and rim protector. Offensively, he’s good in the dunker spot and is starting to figure out the pick and roll.
2027 6’7 Marcus Spears Jr., Dynamic Prep Academy
Spears has already been recognized as a national prospect and this weekend’s mini camp is the next step in solidifying his position. Possessing the coveted University of Texas offer, he’s a long lefty with a nice shooting stroke, excels in transition and is not afraid to mix it up inside.
2025 6’9 Jaden Toombs, Dynamic Prep Academy
Toombs is one of the best big men in the country and recently committed to SMU. He already has USA basketball experience playing with recent FIBA U17 World Champions.
2026 6’5 Shelton Henderson, Bellaire High School
Henderson is a physical slasher that plays through the defense and above the rim. A good looking jumper from mid range and excellent footwork, he’s an immediate impact player at the next level. He also is a more than willing rebounder.
2026 6’6 Elijah Williams, TMI Episcopal
Playing with his new team this summer, TMI Episcopal, Williams is already an elite slasher finishing with either hand and above the rim through contact. He’s good in transition and a willing passer for easy buckets.
